GLOW (2017-)

The Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling. This series just released its third season on Netflix, so there are 30 glorious episodes to watch. This show follows a group of women who sign up to perform in a wrestling show in LA during the 1980s. This show follows their complex personal lives, their relationships with one another, and what it takes to make a dramatic, hilarious wrestling show. This show has some powerful female friendships, some romantic drama, and some stellar women in some pretty badass wrestling costumes. It’s quirky, hilarious, and pretty wholesome when it gets down to it. We promise this show will become your new guilty pleasure.

Grace and Frankie (2015-)

This show started in 2015 and currently has five full seasons (a whopping 65 episodes to binge). When two older women find out their husbands (who are business partners) have actually been having an affair for the past 20 years, they try to cope with the crazy circumstances at each other’s side. This show has an 8.3/10 on IMDb, and is full of comedy, friendship, and some pretty quirky characters. We definitely recommend this one to make your heart full of love and belly hurt from laughing.

Love (2016-2018)

This comedy, drama, romance follows a young couple who are navigating their complicated relationship. This bold and quirky comedy is supposed to offer a ‘modern take’ on the relationship, and this show dives into the female and male perspectives of this couple’s journey in our crazy, changing world.

Relationships are hard, right? Well, this relatable comedy might just make you feel better, and make you laugh while doing it. While this show has come to an end, there are still three seasons and 34 episodes, and it’s definitely worth your time.

Good Girls (2018-)

When three suburban moms find circumstances becoming a bit desperate, they are suddenly forced to take bold risks. As moms, and with cash pretty slim, they decide to stop letting the world screw them. So what do they do? Naturally, they rob a supermarket. Things go pretty awry after that, shockingly, and suddenly these women’s lives become pretty different. This show currently has 2 seasons and 23 episodes of wholesome female friendships and impressive ambition. You definitely have to give this new show a shot.

The Kominsky Method (2018-)

This show follows an aging actor (Michael Douglas) who tries to make a living as an acting coach after finally conceding that his time in the spotlight is over. This show only has one season with eight episodes, but it’s been renewed and is definitely coming back (to the delight of many viewers and critics). This show has an outstanding 8.1/10 on IMDb, and viewers claim its incredibly hilarious, relatable, and most definitely wholesome. It’s also created by Chuck Lorre, the mastermind behind many of your favorite TV shows (like The Big Bang Theory), so, it must be good, right?

Dead to Me (2019-)

This comedy-drama is also a mysterious crime show, so it will check off literally all of your boxes. When a widow (Christina Applegate) joins a grief support group, she meets another woman (Linda Cardellini). While these two are polar opposites, this show follows their blossoming and quirky friendship, some family drama, and mysterious secrets as they start to unravel. This show is absolutely genuine, hilarious, and has the most wholesome family, girl power, and friendship moments. And, there’s a crime mystery? What more could you want? This show only has one season (10 episodes), but there’s definitely more coming.

Derry Girls (2018-)

This show is a newer, Irish comedy. You’re intrigued already, right? Well, this show follows a group of 16-year-olds as they navigate Catholic school, family drama, and Ireland politics in the early 1990s. This show has the quirkiest characters, a wholesome family, and the power of female bonding. Let’s not forget to mention the political unrest that is Ireland at this time, and how these young women try to deal with that along with the rest of their teenage struggles.

This cringy comedy is bound to make you laugh, but it’ll also definitely make you happy and give you all the feels. There are now two seasons (13 episodes), but they’ve been renewed for a third.

Atypical (2017-)

This comedy-drama follows Sam, an 18-year-old on the autism spectrum. He finally tries to get in on dating, and you’re in a for a wild ride with Sam as he navigates teenage life. This show offers an incredibly wholesome relationship between Sam and his mom and is an absolutely sensational journey as Sam searches for independence. This show is quirky, hilarious, and totally heartfelt. It has an 8.3/10 on IMDb, and has 2 full seasons (18 episodes), with a third coming out soon.

Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt (2015-2019)

This is the only other show on this list that has come to an end. However, we’d be fools not to include it on this list. If you haven’t already seen it, you should. This show follows a woman who has started her entire life over in NYC, after, you didn’t guess it, being rescued from a doomsday cult. This show is hilarious, relatable, and has the most heartwarming and quirky relationships and journey. You’ll fall in love with Kimmy’s tale, and it’ll definitely give you all the feels. There are 4 full seasons, a whopping 51 episodes for you to binge.

The End of the F***ing World (2017-)

While this may not be the most “wholesome” show on this list, this series still tells an incredible tale of young romance, struggling teens, and heartfelt family drama. James is a self-diagnosed psychopath and Alyssa is a moody new girl, and then suddenly these two are embarking on a road trip to find her real father. This comedy is a wild adventure, has some crime in the mix, and also has some pretty pure relationship dynamics. You’ll definitely want to give this one a go, it’s probably not like anything you’ve seen before. There’s currently one season, but there’s definitely more coming.
