This may be hard to believe, given the selection already available on Disney+, but there are more movies due to release on the app in the near future. Frankly, we couldn’t be more excited about that fact.

While we’re looking forward to getting access to even more movies, there are naturally some movies that we’re more excited about than others. But don’t worry, we’ve gone ahead and compiled a list of the ten most exciting movies that are heading towards Disney+.

Now we just have to be patient and wait for their release dates, which is easier said than done, isn’t it? We’ll be nice and only include movies that are due out in 2020 (though if you want to torture yourself, look at what’s coming out in 2021).

Holes (2003)

First up on our list is the classic movie; Holes. Starring Shia LeBeouf, this movie follows a very unlucky boy sentenced to a unique sort of juvenile detention program. Only, nothing is quite as it seems, is it? The novel itself was charming, but the use of bearded dragons as the spotted lizards was an amusing touch.

Holes is due to release onto Disney+ on January 1st, so fans will not have long to wait for this film. Get the popcorn ready!

Black Panther (2018)

Black Panther is another movie set to release on Disney+, and we couldn’t be more excited about that fact. Yeah, many fans probably already own the movie, but that hasn’t decreased our excitement any. And for those that haven’t seen the movie – this is a great opportunity for them!

As far as we’re concerned, Chadwick Boseman is the one and only Black Panther, so we loved everything about this movie.

Good news for the fans: Black Panther will be dropping on Disney+ on March 4th.

Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey (1993)

Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey is a fan favorite – though it’s also a movie that you can always count on to make you cry. Worth it? Absolutely! This beloved story follows three pets are they trek across the country in order to find their family once again. It’s touching, heartbreaking, and heartwarming all in one.

No classic movie collection would be complete without this movie. And as an added bonus, the sequel, Homeward Bound II will also be added at the same time. Both movies are going to drop on May 1st.

Avengers: Infinity War (2018)

Avengers: Infinity War was the first in a set of two movies that rocked the fandom with its intensity and impact. This was a movie fans couldn’t stop talking about – and with good reason. So it’s probably no surprise to hear our excitement about the idea of it hitting Disney+. Sadly, Avengers: Endgame will not be released at the same time. But that will be on the way eventually!

Avengers: Infinity War will be releasing onto Disney+ on June 25th, so mark your calendars!

The Mighty Ducks (1992)

Oh man, it seems like a whole bunch of our classic childhood movies are set to hit Disney+ in the next year, and we are all for it. Next up on the list is The Mighty Ducks, can you believe it!? The Might Ducks follows a bunch of cheeky hockey players, and a lawyer forced to deal with them (which naturally means he becomes attached to the lot).

The Mighty Ducks will be available on Disney+ as of July 1st, though currently it’s going to be the only one of the series available (for better or for worse, that’s for you to decide).

Ant-Man and the Wasp (2018)

The Mighty Ducks isn’t the only movie dropping in July that we’re looking forward to! Next up on the list is Ant-Man and the Wasp. If you enjoyed the first movie, or are a fan of Paul Rudd and/or Evangeline Lilly, then this is not a release you’ll want to miss.

Ant-Man and Hope Van Dyne (aka, the Wasp) team up once again in order to save Hope’s mother from the quantum realm – though given who we’re talking about here, it’s not even close to being that simple.

Ant-Man and the Wasp will release on Disney+ on July 29th.

Christopher Robin (2018)

It should come as no surprise to hear that some of the movies planned for release on Disney+ are children’s movies. Frankly, it’d be more shocking if that wasn’t the case. One of the most exciting movies in that category is the live-action tale of Christopher Robin.

In this tale, Christopher Robin (played by Ewan McGregor) is all grown up, but that doesn’t mean he’s forgotten the Hundred Acre Wood. Thus, it’s time for him to head home and save the memory-filled woods.

Christopher Robin will be available on Disney+ as of September 5th.

Maleficent (2014)

Given that the sequel for Maleficent was in theaters recently, it’s probably no surprise to hear that the original movie that started it all will be releasing onto Disney+ shortly. And we couldn’t be more excited about that fact.

Maleficent is a twisted tale of Sleeping Beauty – as it’s told from the villainous witch’s perspective. Angelina Jolie rocked the Maleficent look, resulting in a stunning and memorable movie.

Maleficent will be available on Disney+ on October 1st.

Beauty and the Beast (2017)

When we say that we’re looking forward to Beauty and the Beast dropping on Disney+, we’re talking about the live-action version. The animated version is already available on Disney+ (but you probably know that, and have already binged it several times).

Emma Watson and Dan Stevens take on our beloved characters were breathtaking, and thus this movie is arguably the best of the live-action remakes that have been made available (so far). So you can’t really blame us for looking forward to this one.

Beauty and the Beast will drop on Disney+ on October 1st.

Ralph Breaks the Internet (2018)

Finally, the last movie on this list – but certainly not the least. Wreck It Ralph was a hit of a movie, with fans begging for a sequel before it ever left theaters. And it’s safe to say that the sequel, Ralph Breaks the Internet, lived up to most of our expectations.

In this movie, Ralph and Vanellope dive into the insanity that is the internet, and the resulting chaos is both highly entertaining and full of pup-culture references. What more could you ever ask for?

Ralph Breaks the Internet will be available on Disney+ as of December 11th. So a bit of a wait for this one, sadly.
