It’s hard to believe that we’re just a few short episodes away from the conclusion of The Good Place. It has been a great run, but all good things must come to an end. To help fans cope with this inevitable moment, we’ve come up with some ways to celebrate the ending.

After all, the best way to keep ourselves from crying about this fact is to celebrate it. So let’s try and make this something big and fun. The series deserves it! And it would make Jason proud – which really, what more can you ask for?

Here are ten creative and fun ways to celebrate the ending of a beloved and quirky series.

Take An Ethics Class

There are several themes dominant in The Good Place. Those themes include moral ethics and learning how to be a better person. So perhaps in order to celebrate and appreciate this fact, you could sign up for an ethics course or two yourself.

Yes, we know what you’re thinking. It won’t be the same without Chidi at the front of the classroom. But there’s only so much we can do about that. It’d still be an enlightening experience, and at least you won’t be at risk of losing your soul in the process. So that’s something, right?

Pull A Tahani and Throw A Party

Nobody throws a party like Tahani. At least, not if you’re listening to anything she has to say about it. But that shouldn’t stop you from giving it a go. Really, there’s no better way to celebrate the ending of this series like throwing one swanky party.

Just be sure to overestimate on how many jumbo shrimps you’re going to need. You know, for the Eleanor in your group (there’s always one). Maybe you can even make it retirement themed – which may or may not be a somber occasion, depending on how far you want to go with that theme.

Put ‘Shirt’ and ‘Fork’ Into Your Swear Vocabulary

Ah, The Good Place. Where apparently swearing is not allowed. It certainly resulted in a lot of quirky ways around those words. Our favorites are ‘shirt’, ‘fork’, and ‘bench’, but that’s probably not too much of a surprise.

Why not take a note from the series and start including some of those more creative curses? You could even go ahead and create a bunch of your own – the opportunity is there. It’ll make for lots of laughs, and it’ll confuse anybody who hasn’t seen the show. But the people who get your references? They’re worth making friends with!

Have A Disco Janet Party

Disco Janet may very well be the best Janet there is. Okay, that’s probably not true. The primary Janet that we get to know is the best Janet. But Disco Janet is a close second! So why not celebrate that fact – along with the conclusion of this series – by throwing yourself a disco party?

No disco party is complete without the music, hair, and roller skates. Sadly, the odds of Disco Janet attending your party are very slim. But trust us – she’ll be there in spirit. And that’s good enough, right?

Debate Ethics

While we’re talking about fun ways to celebrate The Good Place, there’s one thing that must be done. If you want to truly celebrate the core of this series, then try to debate ethics. Or try and help your friends (and yourself) become better people. Because really, those themes and events are vital to this series.

Sadly, you won’t have Chidi to debate with or learn from. But on the bright side, that also means you won’t have to explain complex concepts to Jason. So that’s probably a net win.

Tell Long and Tall Tales

Speaking of Jason, why not tell a long-winded and slightly crazy story? You know, to celebrate all of the absolutely insane stories and examples Jason had to share. Because boy, did he have a lot to share!

We know our stories will likely never compare to his…but that’s probably a good thing, in the end. Remember, his antics did eventually directly lead to his death (the first time around, at least) and put him in the Bad Place. So stick to stories that won’t get you killed.

Go Have Some Frozen Yogurt

Each version of The Good Place (the fake Good Place, that is) had something repetitive at the core of its foundation. The most iconic example of this is, of course, frozen yogurt. As Michael said, there’s something very human about taking something good and making it worse.

So go on out and have yourself some frozen yogurt. You won’t be able to get access to some of the flavors available in The Good Place, unfortunately. Which is a shame, since ‘battery at full charge’ sounds like quite the experience.

Bortles!

Here’s another fun (or perhaps it’s depressing) way to celebrate The Good Place. Pick a local team of yours that is infamously horrible. Now go ahead and support them with everything you have. It would make Jason proud.

Or you could just become obsessed with one player in particular and yell their name anytime you do something insane. But that’s just as likely to get you in trouble. Another thing that would make Jason proud.

Appreciate Your Friends

The Good Place brought six very different characters together and made them friends. They somehow made it through the worst experiences possible – and they did it because they had each other.

So honor the lessons taught in The Good Place and put in a bit of effort to appreciate your friends more. They’ve been there for you – and perhaps they even watched this show with you. If they haven’t, still be a good friend. Sit them down and make them watch the series!

No matter how you choose to show that appreciation, just go out there and do it. It might even get you some positive points, which couldn’t hurt.

Be The Best Version of Yourself

Finally, be the best version of yourself. You don’t have the luxury of being rebooted hundreds of times but you can learn from your mistakes and keep moving forward. So give it your all. Be a good person. Learn. Move on. And just be the best you that you have to offer. What more can we ask for?
