Despite the overwhelmingly positive response to Taika Watiti’s comedic and colorful Thor: Ragnarok, we may never see Thor in a fourth solo movie. With Avengers: Endgame promising to start over the MCU fresh with a new batch of heroes, effectively ending the 11-year journey of the O.G. Avengers like Iron Man, Cap, and yes, Thor. Whether he’ll actually die in the movie remains to be seen, but Chris Hemsworth has strongly hinted that he wants to jump ship from the MCU after the newest Avengers movie....

There is a lot of controversy currently surrounding Disney’s cropping of The Simpsons for Disney+. Changing the aspect ratio of the show from its original means various visual jokes end up hidden away, therefore removing some great pieces of writing from our experience. We’ve been told they’re going to fix this problem going into 2020, but for now, you’re going to have to find your on-screen jokes elsewhere… With that in mind, there are also some great visual jokes that don’t actually get cropped at all....

The Cars franchise is a unique collection of films. While television series come and go, a few stand the test of time. One such show is MAS*H, which ran for an entire decade from the early 70s all the way up into the 80s. Inspired by the movie of the same name, which in turn was based on a book, the show focused on the members of a fictional US Mobile Army Surgical Hospital that operated in the Korean War....

Some movies flew under the audience’s radar from the last decade. In any case, they have been a staple of the horror genre and have definitely introduced some symbolic and iconic movie monsters like Jason Voorhees, Freddy Krueger, Micheal Myers, and those punks from Scream. Still, how slasher movies handle the way these guys operate can be quite comical....

Since 2005, Supernatural has gone through various story arcs, introduced a vast array of new characters and worlds, and covered plenty of lore, among other things. Over the years, two spin-offs were attempted: Bloodlines, and more recently, Wayward Sisters. Neither came to fruition, but fans still hope a spin-off will arise, now more so than ever with Supernatural itself ending next year. Jeff “Swampy” Marsh joined the Disney network’s hall of fame as one of the co-creators of the Phineas and Ferb franchise, along with Dan Povenmire. Due to this, there are a huge range of alien characters out there. The ones this list is going to go over though, are the ones that we care about most. The likes of Darth Vader, the Xenomorph, and HAL 9000 all come from the world of science fiction. The bad guys in these worlds can often seem other-worldly, which adds to their terrifying nature. A new Avengers: Endgame TV spot hit during Super Bowl LIII on Sunday and it showed some interesting new scenes from the upcoming movie. According to Marvel, this is the movie that will end the current Avengers run and likely will see names like Iron Man and Captain America check out one way or another. The new clip was very short but had a lot of interesting shots to give hints at what is to come....

Despite the dozens of remakes that do get churned out in Hollywood, there are just as many that end up stuck in development hell. Remakes might have a terrible reputation, due to the fact that most of them are pointless and fail to be anywhere near as good as the original, but there is the occasional diamond in the rough. If a director has a unique vision for how to reimagine or recontextualize a story, or an old movie’s effects are updated with modern CGI technology, they can justify their own existence and even be pretty decent movies....

Fans of the master of horror Stephen King are enjoying a new wave of cinematic adaptations after the record-breaking success of It: Chapter One, with many of his novels and short story collections being mined for the next big hit. This wave is not a new phenomenon, as every decade has seen its own share of adaptations, though some turned out better than others. Carrie was King’s first published novel and first film adaptation back in 1976 and since then we’ve seen almost 50 film and TV adaptations, so there are bound to be a few bad apples among the bunch....
